No third parties, no tracking

This website loads no third-party content (no external fonts, scripts, maps, advertising or analytics). All data is processed on our own server in Germany. The connection is encrypted via HTTPS.

Server log files

When you visit the site, the web server stores technically necessary access data (IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the data is used to operate the site securely and to fend off attacks.

Visitor statistics

For the “… online” display and the visitor counter we store your IP address together with the time of your last request. The entry is deleted automatically after 5 minutes without further requests. The counter itself only holds a total. If you arrive via a link on another website, we store that site’s address (referrer) and count how often it was used – without any reference to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in simple audience measurement).

Cookies and local storage

A cookie is only set when you choose the language yourself using the switch. It contains nothing but “de” or “en” and lasts one year. It is required for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Forms and broken-link reports

Data from “Suggest a site” is sent to us by e-mail and only used to process the suggestion. Guestbook entries are stored with the data provided and published after review; the e-mail address is not published. “Report broken link” only increases a counter for that link. To prevent abuse, we store a non-reversible hash of your IP address for at most 24 hours for these actions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

External links

When you click an entry, we count the visit and forward you to the respective website. Its provider is responsible for any data processing there.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. A message to hp [at] gunlinks.de is enough.
